- Compendex (includes EI Village)
The primary database for all the disciplines in engineering: a good starting point. For topics that have a management focus use Compendex in conjunction with ABI Inform (or other business databases). More specialized databases are listed below. - Academic Search Complete

Electrical and Electonics engineering - Safari Tech Books Online
Not really a database but a collection of over 2000 full text, searchable e-books from O' Reilly, Que, Sams, Addison-Wesley, Prentice Hall and Peachpit Press covering computing, databases, operating systems, programming, XML, Java and web design, as well as a broad range of business topics. - SciFinder Web
Useful for chemical, environmental, materials engineering and chemical patents. - Web of Science
Useful for interdisciplinay research (including such topics as engineering ethics) in core journals and for cited reference searching. Especially useful for graduate students searching for thesis topics.

Access to full text articles in physics, astronomy, civil engineering, computer engineering, mechanical engineering, acoustics, fluids, electronics, optics, materials, geophysics, vacuum science and more. Includes access to the former OJPS, as well as to the American Institute of Physics (AIP), American Society of Civil Engineering (ASCE), and the American Society of Mechanical - TRID An integrated free database from the Transportation Research Information Services (TRIS) and International Transport Research Documentation (ITRD) Database transportation.
